DISASSEMBLY OF PRESSES AT OPEL IN BOCHUM
When Opel decided to shut down the Bochum plant in Germany, a number of machines were sold. Convoi disassembled the 5 biggest presses, Shuler 1500 types. Goal was to prepare the presses for road transportation. This meant the presses needed to be disassembled, labeled and documented, including pictures. Also all measurement data and cable lists have been registered and documented and will stay with the presses.
As the presses are being sold to an Italian trader, it is important that all documentation stays with the presses as it makes the reassembly much easier.
All electricity has been disconnected and the presses have been mechanically taken apart, using the 155 ton lift system. The parts were loaded on trucks for further transportation. Some of the presses will be reassembled in India.
